Outstanding Undergraduate and Graduate Student Scholarship Awards


The Environmental Sciences and Management Program has four scholarships awarded annually.

THE PAUL CROY ENVIRONMENTAL SCHOLARSHIP

Named for a western educator and poet, the Paul Croy Environmental Scholarship was established to provide support to students who are pursuing academic and career goals related to preservation of the environment. This will be awarded to an oustanding students with career interests in the social and policy aspects of environmental protection and management.

THE BARRY COMMONER ENVIRONMENTAL SCHOLARSHIP

Dr. Commoner is an internationally known environmental scientist; founder of the Center for the Biology of Natural Systems at Queen’s College, and a former candidate for President of the United States. The Barry Commoner Environmental Scholarship was established to provide support to students who are pursuing academic and career goals related to preservation of the environment.One $500 scholarship will be awarded

THE DAVID DUNNETTE TRAVEL AWARD

Professor David Dunnette was one of the founding members of the department. An endowment was established in his memory to support graduate student travel to present their research at meetings. Usually two awards are given each year.

THE BUSBY FAMILY GRADUATE FELLOWSHIP

The Busby family established an endowment for the support of outstanding graduate students in our program. This fellowship supports a graduate student teaching assistant with a stipend and tuition.
